Phra Ajahn Odd was born on 30 July BE2502 (1959) and currently he is 50 year old.His original name was Itthiphon Phen Phon.His father was Mr Jasiptri Sawat Phen Phon.His mother Mrs Prachit Phen Phon.They had altogether 9 children and Phra Ajahn Odd is the 6th child.
Phra Ajahn hometown was at Tambon Wang Leuk Ampher Sarm Chook Changwat Suphanburi.From there,his family moved to Bangkok because Phra Ajahn's father was a soldier and must move from place to place.
Before his ordination,Phra Ajahn was the same with any others ordinary person everywhere.However,one fateful day,an incidence changed his life.He was involved in a car accident that killed 4 person.Phra Ajahn caused the death of these 4 person and eventually got sue.He was sentence to 5 years' imprisonment but the sentence was reduced to 3 years.
After his release,Phra Ajahn made a vow to ordain so to compensate for his carelessness and fault which caused the death of others and the sorrow of their families too.He also feel the same like them.
Phra Ajahn was ordained on 6 January BE2534(1991) at Wat Sai Mhai Tambon Khucoke Ampher Lam Luga Changwat Pathumthani.Phra Soonthorn Syee Lajahn,the Deputy Chief Of Pathumthani Province was his preceptor.
One day,Phra Ajahn found an occult book of spell which belongs to LPhoo Suk Wat Bpak Klorng Makham Thao Changwat Chainat.He studied and practice Dhamma together with the occult book until he gained mastery over it.Phra Ajahn then asked the Abbot permission to help to build the temple with the occult science he learned.
Initially,Phra Ajahn produced Takrut Look Pern to give out as a gift to the devotees who came to make merit at Wat Sai Mhai.When he went for his daily alms round in the morning,he will also give out to the devotees after they had offered the food.Some will receive,some got confused and say,"What's that you gave ?".Some will keep it and some are not interested in it at all.
One day,Phra Ajahn gave out Takrut Look Pern to 5 university students of Lard Phrao area.It happened on that day there was a serious car accident at Saphan Phra Ram 2.The passenger car they were in was in such a bad condition that not even a piece of it was good and all the others cars got crashed too.
Miraculously,the 5 students remained unharmed and merely sustained a little bit of wound.The mass media came to inquire them and found out that they are actually carrying Takrut Look Pern Phra Ajahn Odd Wat Sai Mhai.
Since then,alot of people came along in procession to request for Takrut Look Pern until the very last piece and Phra Ajahn can't produce again in time for so many people.
Hence,an announcement was made to stop giving out the Takrut Look Pern so to wait for others to donate the bullet shell and also time is needed to perform the Takrut Look Pern consecration ceremony.
